It's going to be one heck of a game. I'd like to see the bears win but I think New Orleans will be too tough.

Pats & Saints... Superbowl

Lots of storylines here:

1. Both are dome teams.
2. Both have highly regarded quarterbacks
3. Both have top rookie running backs
4. Both have great wide receiving corps
5. Both have some great football minds as head coaches.

Dungy - Is the head of a football family tree that is a Who's Who of football coaches.

Payton - Is a branch off of a football family tree that is a Who's Who of football coaches.

Super Bowl - Being played in Miami, Florida.......

Dungy - Son who was killed in apartment was living in Florida at the time.

Payton - One of his previous jobs was at Miami, (OH) as quarterbacks coach.

Now to some added storylines:

a. Colts - Team that is rich in NFL Championship tradition looking to make first Super Bowl appearance since the glory days of Morrall, Unitas, etc.

b. Saints - Team that is rich in NFL losing seasons since their birth in the NFL as an expansion team. Has only been on rare occasions that they have made it to the first round of the playoffs.

c. Colts - Looking to make Super Bowl appearance under future Hall of Fame quarterback Peyton Manning who has led the Colts to many AFC playoffs apperances as well as the AFC Championship game in the past few years.

d. Saints - Perennial losers who always have felt grateful if just to have a winning season. Last coach to help lead the Saints to the playoffs I believe was Jim Mora Sr.

e. Colts - Last Saints coach to help lead New Orleans to the playoffs was also one of their head coaches as well... Jim Mora Sr. Remember the "Playoffs? Playoffs?" fiasco?

f. Saints - Peyton Manning, leader of the team that some regard has having the best offense attack in the NFL the past few years, is the son of Archie Manning. Archie Manning being the very first quarterback for the Saints when they became an expansion team and rarely if ever won. Although Archie Manning was a Hall of Fame quarterback, he never knew the success that his son is experiencing now.
